Rick's birthday was Tuesday and his three girls threw him a party! Grace wrapped dadda's presents in Elmo paper...no conservation of tape. She also decorated his cake. I don't think he will have anything other than pink and purple sparkles for many years. She sang "happy birthday to dadddaaa" all day. We went to the hospital for lunch and she ran into his arms announcing to the audience in the lobby that it was his birthday. I made him filet mignon for dinner (it actually turned out fairly well) and Grace tried hard to say this...it sounded like flay minyawn...too cute. She insisted that he unwrap all of his gifts first thing! He asked her at lunch what his presents were. Can you believe this? Yes you can...she told him "daddy toons"! This means a video of some sort which was correct. He was happy with that answer. All through dinner Grace dipped her little fingers in the cake and was so excited she could hardly wait! Daddy got his special delivery as well. We had a wonderful evening! I've been taking the girls to the YMCA. I get a twenty to thirty minute workout in the "mamma playroom" while Grace goes to her "big kid playroom" and "baby Dory goes to the itty bitty baby playroom". I bundle the girls up for our outing and they are always very fashionable. Grace chose her fuzzy jacket and hello kitty boots herself. Some days I get only fifteen minutes or so to exercise. Glory is not thrilled with this and protests. She is getting better about and i'm trying to be brave. Her teary red face hurts my heart, but I know it is good for us. Grace really likes it. She is the best work out partner i've ever had because she asks me if I will take her to the YMCA. I cannot deny that sweet voice and those big blue eyes! Being home with them is so awesome, I wouldn't trade these days for anything ever...thanks Rick for making this possible.
Rick is a wonderful husband and an amazing father! He is the love of my life and my best friend. He encourages me to reach, learn, and grow. He teaches me by example to love more, live more, smile more, and pray more. He has given me two babies, a home, an education, and a life I never dreamed of. The Lord smiled upon me in Phoenix Arizona almost eight years ago! I hope our story warms your heart!
